Founded in 1993 by Master Technician Duc Dang, 2D Imaging, Inc. is a nationally recognized third-party repair partner for hospitals, imaging centers, and IDNs across the country. We are expanding capacity and bringing on skilled people at every level of experience.

Find your level. Grow from here.

We are hiring across all three technician tiers. Tell us where you are in your career. We will place you where you fit and invest in getting you to the next level.

Tech I

Probe Repair Technician I

Entry level — no prior probe repair required

Learn the craft from experienced technicians. You will perform cosmetic repairs, inspection, cable and strain relief work, and build the foundational skills that lead to a long-term technical career in medical device repair.

  • Probe intake, inspection, and documentation
  • Housing repair, crack fills, and surface finishing
  • Cable and strain relief replacement
  • Connector cleaning and basic restoration
  • Direct mentorship from senior technicians

Tech II

Probe Repair Technician II

Intermediate — prior repair or electronics experience

Step into independent repair work on a broader range of probe types and failure modes. You will begin executing electrical and mechanical repairs with increasing autonomy while deepening platform knowledge across major OEMs.

  • Multi-platform probe diagnostics
  • Precision soldering on probe cable assemblies
  • Acoustic lens and housing restoration
  • ISO-compliant repair documentation
  • Growing accountability for first-pass quality

Tech III

Probe Repair Technician III

Senior — 7+ years direct probe repair required

The highest individual contributor role on the floor. You own the most complex repairs, serve as the internal technical authority, contribute to quality improvement, and actively develop the next generation of technicians.

  • Transducer array diagnostics and repair
  • Acoustic relensing and board-level component work
  • TEE probe service and full functional verification
  • CAPA participation and process improvement
  • Mentorship of Level I and II technicians

The kind of place where skills compound fast.

A clear path forward

Every technician is hired into a level with a defined progression to the next. There is no ambiguity about what growth looks like here.

Real technical depth

Three decades of probe repair expertise is in the walls of this shop. You will learn more here than at most places you could work.

A team that invests in you

Senior techs actively mentor junior staff. New platforms, new repair methods, and ongoing training are part of how we operate.

Work with real purpose

Every probe repaired goes back into clinical care. The quality of your bench work directly affects patients and the clinicians who serve them.

Nationally recognized, locally tight-knit

We serve health systems across the country, but the shop floor runs like a specialized craft operation. You get reach without losing the culture of a skilled team that knows its work.

Competitive pay and benefits

Health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and generous PTO. Compensation scales with skill and is benchmarked to the Southern California market.

Every probe that leaves this bench is used in a clinical imaging environment. The standard here is not 'good enough to ship.' It is ready for a patient.
